Every kitchen that leaves this shop is drawn, milled, joined, finished, and installed by Michael Huber himself — from a workshop on Generals Highway in Crownsville, ten minutes from Annapolis and within an easy drive of the Chesapeake, Baltimore, and the DC suburbs.

We don't pull cabinets from a box. We measure, draw, mill, join, finish, and install one kitchen at a time — dovetailed drawers, solid-wood doors, and a fit that matches the room.

How we build it.
Big-box cabinet lines ship the same door, the same drawer box, and the same finish to every house on the street. A custom kitchen from this shop is drawn to your rooms, cut from boards Mike hand-selects for grain and stability, and joined the way cabinetry was made before assembly lines — dovetailed drawers, mortise-and-tenon face frames, dust panels between drawers, and finishes built up in thin coats until they have depth.
Most kitchens take twelve to sixteen weeks from measured drawing to final install, depending on species, finish, and scope.
Where we work.
The shop is in Crownsville, in Anne Arundel County, and most installs happen within about an hour's drive — Annapolis, Severna Park, Arnold, Davidsonville, Edgewater, Millersville, Bowie, and the surrounding parts of Anne Arundel, Prince George's, Howard, and Baltimore counties. Longer drives (the Eastern Shore, DC, Baltimore City) are worked in around larger commissions.

Common questions.
How much does a custom kitchen from your shop cost?
Every kitchen is priced from measured drawings, species, and finish choices — there is no per-linear-foot number that holds up honestly. Most full custom Maryland kitchens land in the range of a mid-tier semi-custom line and go up from there, with the trade being that yours is one of one and built to outlast the house.
Do you work with our designer or architect?
Yes — Mike regularly builds from architects' and kitchen designers' drawings, and he is equally happy to design the cabinetry from scratch after walking the space with you.
What woods can we choose from?
White and red oak, cherry, walnut, hard maple, hickory, and mahogany are the most common; less common domestics and exotics can be sourced when a piece calls for them.
Do you install, or just build?
Both. The person who drew and built your kitchen is the person who installs it, so anything that needs to be scribed, tuned, or reworked on site is handled right there.

Do you build kitchen islands, pantries, and built-ins?
Yes — islands, pantries, appliance enclosures, range hoods, and built-in seating are all part of the same custom kitchen project and are quoted together.
